Weight Loss Update: Week 6

Not really much to update you on. I was like Jerry Seinfeld this week and broke even; didn’t gain and didn’t lose. I guess that is good right?

Weight Loss Update: Week 5

This weekend my Mom was bitching at me saying “Timmy! Your ass is falling out of your pants! Pull them up or wear a belt!” I was wearing a belt and it was on the tightest notch too. The reason I was looking like a fool with my pants on the ground was because this week I lost ten pounds bitches! I honestly don’t know how as I didn’t go to the gym once this week. I know I am bad, but I was so busy the majority of the week after work and just had no time. I did however watch my calorie intake each and every day like I said I would by eating no more then 2500 calories. The first day sucked ass because my body wasn’t used to eating such small meals, but I did some tweaking and fine tuning after realizing I was going to be under my 2500 calorie intake by 700 or so. I was able to increase things slightly to where I felt full and not stuffed or sick because my stomach was practically empty. All in all I feel good about myself and am looking forward to seeing how things go from here on out.

Weight Loss Update: Week 4

Let me first start off by admitting that I said “fuck it” last week to my Diet. I was working the late shift and just had no motivation what-so-ever to go to the gym after getting home at 8:00 at night. I also ended up eating fast food a few nights which didn’t help. I know, I was weak and I need to stay focused, but damn that Taco Bell was good. I also needed to revamp things if I wanted to do this right.

The first three weeks showed little to no results and I was basically on a yo-yo as you already know. I was eating right and what I thought was the right portions, but I guess I was wrong. I did my homework and found a few different things that seemed to be close, but varied slightly.  I wanted to see how much a guy like me needs to consume Calorie wise in order to lose weight. One site I found suggested that I eat no more then 3834 calories per day. I am no expert, but that sounded a bit high to me so I went to a different resource which was the Biggest Loser book that Rachael had bought. According to them in order to see how many Calories you need to eat in a day to lose weight, you take your weight and multiple it by seven which for me comes to 2688 Calories. That looked a bit more accurate to me and I actually dropped the number down to an even 2500 just to be safe.

The good food I was eating if I go back and add up any given day surpassed the 2500 mark by about 1500 Calories. No wonder I wasn’t seeing any results.

Weight Loss Update: Week 3

Slow and steady wins the race right? Unless I am eating in my sleep, which I wouldn’t be surprised since I have been told I do some other weird ass shit in my sleep, then I am boggled at this whole weight loss, or lack there of, thing. I will admit I didn’t go to the gym as often as I wanted. I wanted to ideally go 3 or 4 times last week, but I only ended up going twice. I also didn’t do my crunches like I had been doing so I guess the blame falls directly on me for this past week. This week is gonna be just as bad and I already know it simply because I am working the late shift at work (11-8) so by the time I get out I am too tired to go to the gym. Looks like I am gonna have to try and go in the morning before work then.

Weight Loss Update: Week 2

Whoever said persistence, hard work, and dedication paid off is a retard. Well one good thing came out of this week I guess and that is that I learned Healthe’ Trim is in fact a joke. Better to find out now while I still have the option to get my money back I guess.

As stated for Week 1 of my Weight Loss Challenge I did just as they said and took two pills each morning and drank nothing but water; no change in diet or exercise is required. And as you are all aware of I put on, not lost, almost two pounds. Well this past week I followed their instructions, but I also added exercise and changed my diet. Monday Chris and I went to the gym and did nothing but Cardio for a good hour and I rode just over 10 miles. I felt good. I felt alive. Later that evening, as well as every evening this past week, I did 100 Crunches before bed. Wednesday and Friday were also Gym days for us and we did a mix of Weights and Cardio averaging about 15 minutes on the bike at around 5 miles each ride.

As far as food goes I watched what I ate, cut out red meats and excess salts and sugar, ate more fish, added more fiber and protein, and drank nothing but my weight in water each day with the occasional glass of Skim Milk with dinner. Overall I just ate well and started discovering that food can be healthy and still taste good. If you haven’t tried them yet, BOCA Spicy Chik’n Patties are the em effin’ shit dude.  All in all I was really pleased with myself. The one thing I probably could have done better was portion control, but I was eating enough to feel full, not stuffed and it wasn’t like I was eating anything bad for me.

Yes I lost weight, but I really thought it was going to be more then it was. I mean I didn’t even break even with my starting weight when I began this challenge. Let’s just say I am starting to understand why chicks form eating disorders and become anorexic.
